Sprouted moong dal or mixed dals ½ cup
Cucumber (finely chopped) ¼ cup

Red bell pepper (finely chopped) 2 tablespoon
Onion (finely chopped) 2 tablespoon
Fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped) 1 tablespoon
Small green chili 1


For dressing:

Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder (roasted) ¼ teaspoon
Chaat masala ¼ teaspoon
Black salt a pinch
Salt to taste
Water 1 tablespoon


METHOD:

  1. Prepare the Sprouted Dal: If using store-bought sprouts, rinse them thoroughly under cold water and drain. To sprout at home, soak ¼ cup moong dal in water overnight, drain, and let sit in a covered container for 1-2 days until small sprouts appear, rinsing once daily. Steam the sprouts lightly for 2-3 minutes to soften slightly, then cool.

  2. Chop the Veggies: Finely chop the cucumber, tomato, red bell pepper, onion, coriander leaves, and green chili. Combine them in a medium bowl with the cooled sprouted dal.

  3. Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, mix lemon juice, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, black salt, and a pinch of regular salt. Add a tablespoon of water to thin it out, if desired. Stir well to combine.
