Creamy Oil Free Buttermilk Kadhi Recipe: A Comforting Indian Classic

INGREDIENTS:

Buttermilk (sour) 3 glasses
Bengal gram flour (besan) 2 tablespoon
Coriander powder ¼ tablespoon
Mustard seeds ½ tablespoon
Ginger 1 inch piece (finely chopped)
Onion 1 piece (chopped)
Green chillies (whole) 2-3 piece
Dry red chillies (whole) 2 piece
Cumin seed ½ tablespoon
Fenugreek seeds ½ tablespoon
Curry leaves a few (crushed)
Salt & pepper to taste


METHOD:

1. Mix bengal gram flour, salt & all the spices in the buttermilk and keep it aside.
2. Dry roast the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds & red chillies in a pan.
3. When done add ginger, onions, curry leaves & sprinkle a little water so that the ingredients do not stick to the pan.
4. Now add the buttermilk mixture.
5. Cook this for 10 minutes.
6. Serve Hot Buttermilk Kadhi with plain boiled rice or chapatis.
